Ben Haggerty, el conocido Mackemore, nació el 19 de Junio de 1983. Él es un gran rapero y cantante estadounidense que empezó su carrera musical en el 2000, pero empezó verdaderamente a triunfar con su gran amigo y compañero, Ryan Lewis. Estos se dieron a conocer no hace mucho, con su gran canción Thrift Shop en el 2012 y fue número uno en Billboard Hot 100.Él se empezó a interesar por la música cuando tomó parte de ''Gateways para jóvenes encarcelados'' donde facilito y ayudo el proyecto de música. Y aunque ni sus padres ni amigos eran músicos, todos le apoyaron siempre y en verano con sus amigos iban a carpas de música con él y alli hacian covers, escuchaban las canciónes que habiá en la radio y las personalizaban con mixs.. Y después de esos veranos tan geniales el supo que quería llegar a algo en la música y empezo a escribir sus propias canciones.
